The Commitments at the Threshold

Reader: When harm comes, we return. When truth changes, we change in public. We belong without surrendering conscience.

Gathering: We remain answerable.

Use

Read this at a threshold: before work begins, when a gathering crosses into its formal time, before a system is released, or when a canonical text is revised.

Do not use it to admit members, establish loyalty, or create apparent consensus before a decision. Rotate the reader. Do not ask who remained silent.

The gathering responses are commentary on the creed, not additional doctrine. They may change through use without requiring a canonical revision.
