Remember someone. Share an unnecessary pleasure. Return to old words. Attend to a harm. These proposed occasions give each act its own time without inventing a history of celebrations.
- When A date that matters to those remembering; no common anniversary is required The Day of Continuance A proposed observance for remembering a person and choosing what, if anything, to carry onward.
- When An afternoon or evening the people involved choose The Festival of Becoming A proposed afternoon for sharing things made, learned or enjoyed without turning pleasure into a demonstration of worth.
- When Once a year, or when a consequential reason for revision arises The Renewal of the Code A proposed return to one old text or decision, with reasons for keeping or changing it.
- When An occasion chosen by those keeping it, with a clear ending The Vigil of Consequence A proposed observance for documented harms, with no demand that those harmed educate or forgive the room.
