Returning to a practice, or deciding not to resume it
We may begin again.
No arrears of devotion have accumulated.
Let the old plan be examined before it is resumed.
Let a smaller beginning be a real one.
What was wrong may be corrected without humiliation.
What no longer belongs may be left.
This concerns an optional spiritual practice. It does not cancel wages owed,
repair after harm, or responsibilities someone else has carried during an
absence. Those need their own honest account.
